I believe that everyone starts working out with different goals, some may just want to get abs, others may just want to slim down their thighs, arms, or make their arms thicker, gain weight, etc. These are more one-sided goals.

To be honest i started working out because i thought people with abs were handsome and i wanted to have them, so i started training for fitness, but as my training progressed, my understanding of fitness slowly changed and my training goals advanced from basic physical fitness to more specific, and i think you should do the same if you've been working out for a long time.

For example: Having a goal to improve fitness, increase strength, improve shape, etc. Most of what you should be seeking in this would still be strength (lifting heavier) or making your body look better, both of which cover most people's needs.

In fact, in a way, there is often a correlation between making your body look better and strength gains, but you will be more effective in achieving this when you have a clearer choice of your goals.

So the question arises, which is more important, strength or form (girth)?

To be honest there is no clear answer to this question, everyone is different and ultimately it depends on your own training goals, for me it is probably more about strength, or more specifically about getting in shape while still being able to increase strength.

Why would you aim for strength? The main reason is that it's easy to track, it's clear, i can easily see if i'm improving, it's objective, there's accurate data to back it up, for example: From 80kg to 100kg squat, it's clear and i enjoy the process of progress.

And likewise for shape it may not be as easy to see your progress, as muscle gain and fat loss take longer to show, but if your goal is to look good in shape, it doesn't matter what you like to pursue, as long as you can have fun practicing and enjoy the process of fitness progress.

For everyone, what goals should you pursue in fitness?

Ask your heart what you really like. If you don't like squats, hard pulls, bench presses, it's okay, just don't do it, you can practice with fixed equipment, if you just want to simply run, it's okay, just develop from running, the most important thing in fitness is your personal feelings, you can practice happy to enjoy it to be satisfied, to progress is enough.

The above is actually the inner motivation of fitness, in addition to the inner motivation external motivation is also very important, external motivation is more the circle you are in, try to make yourself around people with the same goal, so that you will go farther, you will also be happier, after all, who does not want the results of their efforts not recognized by others.

Sometimes we really don't need to change our goals for the sake of outside opinions. Some people are so fixed in their own ideas and opinions that they define others, for example: Girls shouldn't be so strong; you're so fat and you're still working out? Can you keep it up? Can you do it?

You can't be as flexible as an athlete with all those "Dead muscles"! I'm sure you've heard a lot of similar comments, and i've explained before that the kind of training you do will lead to the kind of athletic performance you get.

And for us ordinary fitness enthusiasts, there is no superiority or inferiority of sports or training goals, for you, you improve your health through fitness, enjoy the process of fitness, see your own progress, enjoy your own life, all this honestly does not have much to do with other people, these are their own things, of course, if through personal efforts to influence the people around you to participate in the sport of fitness is of course, it would be great if i could influence people around me to get involved in fitness through my personal efforts.

I like powerlifting, i like bodybuilding and i like long distance running. I hope that more people will pursue powerlifting and muscle building because i think it's a good thing and more people will benefit from it.
